Another area of standardization that I led was the development of the Course Design Workspace. The Workspace employs backward design and is a repository for course design documents that guide new and veteran course designers through systematic course design.

The Workspace as been in place at Park for about 2 1/2 years. So why did we build the Workspace? It is because we hoped to achieve:
- Consistent course design
- Encourage department participation
- Create a central repository for content
- Provide guidelines, forms, and instructions
- Keep course developer on schedule
- Build in a more effective review process
